lies at the end of a peninsula - an "end-of-the-road" town. We border Pacific
Rim National Park and lie within the recently designated *Clayoquot UNESCO
Biosphere Reserve. The area is surrounded by temperate rainforests, majestic
inlets of Clayoquot Sound, and beautiful open ocean with miles of sandy
beaches.

'Zoë's at North Beach is located across the road from Chesterman's Beach, a beautiful three kilometer stretch of sandy beach facing southwest to the open ocean. There are rocky points at both south and north ends where at low tide you can explore the marine tidal pools. Surfing, kayaking, or simply strolling on the beach are all yours to enjoy just a path away across the road. *(Clayoquot Sound is approximately 350,000 hectares in size and contains large expanses of temperate rainforest, hundreds of lakes and streams, estuaries, alpine tundra, open ocean and inlets. Much of the region is only accessible by boat or plane.) |
